COUNT DOWN TO THE 2010 WELLSPRING STAMPEDE:
Wellspring Stampede 2009
10k Run/Walk, tentatively planned for April 25th 2010 at 9:30 am.
The 4th annual Wellspring Stampede 10 kilometer run/walk took place on Sunday May 17. Approximately 280 participated in ideal weather conditions, as the event was postponed three weeks earlier due to snow. The overall men's winner was Luke Meduna, who completed the challenging course in a time of 38:23. The overall women's winner was Tanya Cutting, extending her reign in the event to three years straight. Tanya's time was 41:51. The fastest family honor went to VidaKlein, comprised of Clark Vidas, Shelly Vidas, Joce Kleinschmidt and Bobby Kleinschmidt. Participants ranged in age from over 70 to children under 12.

The Wellspring Stampede also hosted a one mile kid's race, as part of the Kid's Marathon promoted by the Deadwood Mickelson Marathon. Over 40 kid's participated in the kid's race. The Wellspring Stampede is a benefit for Wellspring’s treatment programs for children at risk.
